Working together with the local church
Maranatha Christian Academy is blessed to have young people and staff that represent a host of churches in our community. Each family must sign their agreement to our Statement of Faith, and by doing so, they are aligning with us on the essentials of the faith. We believe the essentials are what God cares about. We can choose to administer the non-essentials differently if we are careful to not cause another brother to stumble. Our desire is that all of the members of the churches, who also partner with MCA, be diligent to reach into their churches to help church members understand the benefits of a Protestant Christian school education. In particular, how MCA can work with the churches to educate young people by helping them obtain a biblical worldview, develop Christian character, and pursue academic excellence.
We desire this partnership be mutually beneficial. According to the Cardus Study, Protestant Christian schools have the best chance in developing “ideal church members”. But we also believe the impact of the partnership can be beneficial immediately. We love to promote job opportunities to church members. We enjoy engaging in city wide, neighborhood, or other evangelistic outreach together with churches. We love to encourage our youth to serve in churches’ community outreach. What ideas do you have that would make the school and church a stronger partnership? We would love to hear any ideas you have.
