Janet Fogh
Head Of School

Mrs. Janet Fogh is our Head of School at Maranatha Christian Academy.  She is a leader: hard-working, energetic, and personable.  She has a strong passion for Christian education and Academic excellence.  Her Christian faith is the central pillar of her life and ministry and she thrives on mentoring young adults as well as the staff she has the privilege to lead.  Mrs. Fogh has twenty-five years of experience in education, mostly in Christian education, and has taught a wide variety of ages of students from kindergarteners to college students.   As a Christian school administrator, she has served as a Director of Academics and Student Activities, a High School Principal; and a Middle School Principal.

Mrs. Fogh is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Computer Science.  She proudly served our great country as an Air Force officer and is very proud to be an American and a veteran.  Her Masters degree is from Chapman University with a MS in Human Resource Management and Development.  Learning never ends so Mrs. Fogh has also completed Education and DBA course work through Chapman University, University of Phoenix, and Argosy University.  She holds a lifetime instructor credential from the State of California, and two lifetime Certifications from the Association of Christian Schools International.  She has served on numerous accreditation team over the last two decades.

While in the US Air Force, Mrs. Fogh met her husband, Dale, who was also in the Air Force.  Mr. Fogh served a full and honorable career in the Air Force both active duty and then after retirement, in a civil service capacity.   Mr. and Mrs. Fogh are the proud parents of two grown children, Sheila and Gene Paul, who both attended Christian schools from Pre School through High School graduation.  Sheila is a graduate of University of California, Davis, and will begin her fifth year of teaching this fall.  Gene Paul is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and is an Army officer, stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia.  After almost twenty-eight years of an amazing and God-centered marriage, Mr. Fogh entered into Glory in 2016 and is greatly missed by his family.

Mrs. Fogh’s favorite Bible verses are from Joshua 1:6-9 which state in part, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”  As a child, her family embraced a motto which originated from Lt. General Garrison H. Davidson, a former Superintendent of West Point.  This motto has become a guiding force in Mrs. Fogh’s personal life and her leadership in the Air Force and in education.   So many Biblical principles are embraced in these twelve words: “Be Considerate, Lead by Example, Make Quality A Habit, Continue to Grow.”

When time permits, Mrs. Fogh enjoys spending time with her family, bike riding, Bible journaling, gardening, and writing.  She knows that the Lord led her very specifically to Maranatha Christian Academy and is excited to help move Maranatha into the “New Beginnings” in front of us through the direction and leading of the Lord.
