A Recent Barna Study and MCA
A recent Barna study showed that clergy, of all faiths, realize the importance of Christian education. The study showed that 65% of Protestant clergy viewed the secular school setting as a negative influence.
What the Research Means
While it is great that some churches have partnered with or served at local public schools for the purposes of outreach, the decision of where a Christian parent should send their child to school should take into account the whole-person formation of the child. And if public schools are perceived to have a negative influence on the spiritual formation of a child, parents need guidance on how to navigate this decision.

The Kansas City Metro has many terrific pubic schools, and these schools might be the best option for some families. However, they cannot teach the Word of God like Maranatha does. It is critical that we help spread information about Maranatha Christian Academy. Believe it or not, not everyone knows they have another option for the education of their children. Is it an investment? Yes, but it is an investment that has daily and eternal rewards.
Please join with Maranatha Christian Academy. Let your friends, family, neighbors, and anyone with children, know how important the choice of an educational institution is. Maranatha not only prepares students academically (2019 Senior Class with an average ACT score of 25 while the Kansas average was 21.6 for 2018), but also prepares them spiritually by giving them the knowledge of the Word of God and how to apply that to their lives. Spread the word; God changes lives through Maranatha Christian Academy.
