Suggestions and FAQs
Have you checked with your local church?
Often local churches have their own scholarship programs or will help support individual members of their body sooner with aid as they know their members best. It can often be an easier process if a family is in need and their church is already aware. It is a good idea to ask!
When is it best to submit applications by?
It is better to receive applications early March or April rather than closer to the start of school as funds are dispersed base on need and submitted applications. Waiting too long will make less funds available.
Does financial aid cover all costs?
Financial aid may be applied to K-12 tuition only. Enrollment and School Fees are excluded.
Is there financial aid for preschool families?
MCA does not offer financial aid for our Preschool program. However, if a family has a student in both the preschool and the K-12 program they should definitely apply as funds may be available for their other K-12 student(s.)
I am a new family member and have not enrolled in MCA yet can I still apply for aid?
For inquiring new parents, please verify that you have submitted an application for admissions prior to submitting a financial aid application. All students joining MCA for Kindergarten through grade 12 must have an application on file and be officially accepted by the academy.
I am a returning family member and have not re-enrolled in MCA, what about me?
Re-enrolling families must have re-enrolled in MCA prior to submitting a financial aid application. No financial aid will be awarded to families that are not enrolled for the school year they are requesting assistance.
Will my application be reviewed before it is complete?
No. Applications must be finished with all required documents provided before it will be considered. Please contact SmartAid if you need assistance with using the application.
Does MCA match any other, 3rd party scholarsips?
MCA does participate in matching programs but families need to confirm details with Administration first. You will still need to fill out an aid application. MCA cannot guarantee any matching if an aid application is not submitted in a timely manner.
