Carolyn McFarland
3rd Grade

Many years ago when I was in college I had two career goals:  I wanted to become an elementary teacher and I wanted to be a missionary.  By God’s grace I have been able to do these!  After college my first teaching job was at Maranatha!  I loved the wonderful teaching environment.  Later I married and moved away.  During the 18 years that I was away from Kansas City I had four children and lived in three states and two countries.  My husband and I were missionaries for a year in Guatemala and 7 years in Oaxaca, Mexico.  When we returned to Kansas in 2005 there was no other school I wanted my children to attend except Maranatha!  I have felt privileged to work here since then.  Every year I get to know and love another 3rd grade class.  Each child is unique and special to me.  I pray that I can show them the Lord’s love.  My testimony is the complete faithfulness of the Lord…Jesus has never failed me and He is utterly trustworthy!

Isaiah 54:10  “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”  The Lord is faithful!
