I was introduced to Christ at the age of nine during my battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Shortly after my diagnoses, my grandmother (granny to me) made a trip to visit and told me about a man named Jesus Christ, the son of God, who died for my sins.  I accepted Him into my heart that summer and have been walking with Him ever since.

My passion for art developed shortly after therapy, where I was encouraged to “draw out my feelings”.  Being a child I took the advice literally, which eventually lead me to Massachusetts College of Art where I earned my BFA in Animation.  While there, I also studied film and illustration.  I successfully completed several animated films and in my senior year my film “Faith” was exhibited in MassArt’s 2006 Squealing Pegs Film Show.

Since graduation in 2006, I have taught art classes for private schools and early education centers.  I have led art therapy sessions for the churches and youth programs in Boston, MA as well as Kansas City Art Institute, for the past three years.

During my time at KCAI I taught classes in graphic art, animation, drawing, painting, and comic book design.

When teaching Art, I encourage my students to think “outside the box”.  Put God above all they seek to accomplish in life for 1 Corinthians 10:31 teaches that “whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31
