What is Your Bio in a Few Sentences?
I was born and raised in the Kansas City area, and became a follower of Jesus Christ early in life. I have always had a love for the fine arts and for performance, and through my young adult years, I combined this love for the arts with a passion for ministry, singing and performing in drama productions as an outlet for my deep desire to use my gifts and talents to bring glory to God. Additionally, I have always had a love for children and for learning, so deciding on a career in education was one of the most obvious choices I have ever made. I am truly living the dream!!

Being a counselor for special needs children through the Johnson County Parks and Recreation Department.
Throughout my career I have taught students in every grade from Kindergarten through grade 9. During my first years at MCA, I helped to create a homeschool enrichment program where I wrote curriculum for and instructed in science, history, math, literature and writing. In addition to teaching academics, I have also taught art, canoeing, archery and outdoor camp craft. I see God so clearly through the beauty of His creation, so some of my favorite times are those spent outside in nature.
