What is Your Bio in a Few Sentences?
I grew up in Christian education in St. Joseph, MO, where most of my family still lives. I began teaching in the public schools in St. Joseph in 2004, and taught there until I moved to Kansas City with my husband in 2015. After working in the Platte County school district for a couple of years, I joined the Maranatha family as the Elementary Principal in the summer of 2017.

When I was in college I got to teach “Kindermusik” classes for the community arts program. Parents would bring their babies and toddlers to class to learn and bond through fun with music, and I got to sing and play with babies!
I originally went to school to be a music teacher, so I learned all kinds of technical music skills and theory that I rarely use, since I only taught music for a couple of years! I do, however, still use some of those skills on my worship team at church.
