What is Your Bio in a Few Sentences?
I grew up in a Christian home where I was homeschooled, attended private school, and public school. I graduated from high school in St. Louis and then attended private university while in High School, community college for my associates, and then graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a bachelors in Secondary Social Studies Education. After some brief teaching experiences in Southeast Missouri, Panama, and St. Louis I came to Kansas City where I began teaching full-time before getting my Masters in history and finally arriving at MCA.

As a college student I worked several manual labor jobs with friends of mine, including carpentry, masonry, and grounds-keeping at a cemetery. The practical skills in these jobs allowed me to pursue one of the best college job experiences I can think of, which was stage managing/technical directing/carpentry/acting coaching for a local not-for-profit theater company.
I was a defender in Southeast Missouri’s indoor soccer leagues, captain of my community college fencing team, a member of my undergraduate equestrian club, a member of a performance swing dance team after graduating college, and a participant in competitive swing dancing while getting my masters degree (to name a few experiences).
