I grew up in southern Minnesota and attended the same Mennonite church until I left home for college. After finishing an undergraduate physics major I moved to Kansas and began teaching mathematics. My experience since then includes a graduate degree in mathematics and more than 30 years of teaching mathematics, physics and programming to both high school and college students. My immediate family consists of my wife, Mary Warkentin (MCA Kindergarten teacher), two sons and eleven grandchildren.
